Spindle Necklace Ultramarine
Inspiration for the Spindle Collection came from a picture that I have of my great grandmother which illustrates a Romanian woman dressed in traditional clothes and holding a wool spindle. The spindle is one of the oldest and simplest objects used for twisting wool, silk, linen or cotton, intensely used in traditional households, where women prepared their own material needed for sewing, knitting or weaving. The symbol of the spindle represents a deep connection with traditions and roots.
Materials and technique : non lead glass, hand blown, hand cut and coldworked. The string of the necklace is made from PVC tube. The closing it is a Brass Magnetic Clasp, Platinum color (5mm) and Silver Color (3mm)
